Hackathon-2024

The Department of ECE has organized a department level innovative idea presentation program “Hackathon-2024” on 30th August 2024 at VLSI Lab from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm in association with Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) and Entrepreneurship development cell (EDC). The session’s objective is to encourage students to develop creative solutions to specific problems or challenges, foster teamwork and collaboration among participants from diverse backgrounds and skill sets.By the end of the program, Students gain proficiency in innovative solutions or prototypes developed by them, enhanced collaboration and networking opportunities, and increased skills and knowledge in relevant technologies. Additionally, feedback from judges can guide future improvements, while organizations may identify potential talent for recruitment. Overall, Hackathons foster a vibrant community around shared interests and challenges.

Innovation/prototype Validation: Converting Innovation in to a Start-up

Mr Manoj Kumar Bada Ghar Wala, founder of Bada Gharwala Technologies Pvt. Limited, acted as resource person for the two day session. During the program the points discussed are: Day 1: Idea Validation and Business Fundamentals Market Research and Validation Components: Customer segments, value propositions, channels, revenue streams, etc. Creating a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) Legal and Regulatory Considerations Day 2: Development, Funding, and Execution Product Development and Strategy Go-to-Market Strategy Developing a marketing plan Customer acquisition strategies and channels Funding Options and Strategy Building a Team and Company Culture ? Strategies for scaling your start-up Objectives: The session’s objective is to motivate students with a comprehensive understanding of the startup ecosystem, practical tools and techniques for developing and validating their ideas, strategies for building and scaling their ventures, and the ability to navigate legal and financial aspects. They should also leave with actionable insights and a network of connections to support their entrepreneurial journey. Outcomes: By the end of the program, Students gain proficiency with a comprehensive understanding of the startup landscape, validated business ideas, and actionable strategies for development, funding, and scaling. They will have the knowledge to navigate legal and regulatory requirements, practical tools for product development and market entry, and a network of connections to support their entrepreneurial endeavors. The program will prepare them to move forward confidently and effectively with their startup ventures.

Metaverse Technology

A one day Seminar on “Metaverse Technology” was successfully organized by Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at Malla Reddy Engineering College on 30th August, 2023 in association with IETE student Chapter and Electronics and Teck Alliance (ETA). The seminar had the prime objective to introduce the concept of Metaverse Technology to the students and guide them towards future job oppertunities in the field of Artificial intelligence. Prof. Saikumar Tara,Professor, ECE department, BVRIT, Hyderabad was the speaker of this programme. During the session, Guest speaker explained about  Virtual reality, Augmented reality, cryptocurrencies and non-fungible tokens (NFTs),blockchain technology,Digital Avatars,Edge computing and Metaverse examples etc., All the 3rd year B.Tech ECE students attended and interacted with the speaker. And a very good feedback had been given by the students.

Modulation and Multiplexing Techniques for Satellite Links

A one day Guest Lecture on “Modulation and Multiplexing Techniques for Satellite Links” was successfully organized by Department of Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at Malla Reddy Engineering College on 30th June, 2023 in association with IETE student Chapter and Electronics and Teck Alliance (ETA). The Guest Lecture had the prime objective to introduce the concept of Modulation schemes and Multiplexing techniques for Satellite links to the students and guide them towards future job oppertunities in the field of communications. Dr. A. Supraja Reddy, Associate Professor, ECE department, CBIT, Hyderabad was the speaker of this programme. During the session, Guest speaker explained about Keppler’s Laws of motion, Satellite Orbits, Launches, Launch Vehicles, Indian Satellites (IRNS/Nawik), Satellite Eclipse,Sun Transit Outage, Satellite Sub systems, Satellite link designs etc., All the 2nd and 3rd year B.Tech ECE students attended and interacted with the guest speaker. And a very good feedback had been given by the students.

5G and its benefits

A one day seminar on “5G and its benefits” was successfully organized by Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at Malla Reddy Engineering College on 7th June, 2023 in association with German Academy of Digital Education (DADB) under IETE student Chapter. The seminar had the prime objective to introduce the concept of 5G communication technology. Resourse persons guided the students towards future job oppertunities in Telecom Industries. During the session, speaker explained about Advanced wireless communication technologies,5G network architecture, 5G Hardware and 5G test measurements etc., All the 2nd year B.Tech ECE students attended and interacted with the guest speakers. And nice feedback given by the students.

Embedded and Real Time Systems

A one day Guest Lecture on “Embedded and Real Time Systems” was successfully organized by Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at Malla Reddy Engineering College on 21st April, 2023 in association with IGNITE Embedded Systems, Hyderabad and IETE student Chapter. The Guest Lecture had the prime objective to introduce the concept of Embedded and real systems to the students and guide them towards future job oppertunities in Embedded systems. Mr.A. Chinna Babu, Program Director, IGNITE Embedded Systems, Hyderabad was the speaker of this programme.

Digital design flow

A one day seminar on “Digital Design Flow” was successfully organized by the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at Malla Reddy Engineering College on 4th April, 2023 in association with OHM institute under IETE student Chapter. The seminar had the prime objective to introduce the concept of Digital design flow to the students and guide them towards future job oppertunities in VLSI and ASIC Industries. Mr.K.N.S.S Hemanth, Director, OHM Institute, Hyderabad was the speaker of this programme.

Career Options

A one day seminar on “Career Options” was successfully organized by Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at Malla Reddy Engineering College on 27th February, 2023. The seminar had the prime objective to introduce new career opportunities to the students and guide them towards programs like arithmetic and reasoning that could result in employability. Mr.Abhishek Vyas (B.E & M.B.A), T.I.M.E Institute, Hyderabad was the speaker of this programme.

5G and Future Technologies

A one day Guest lecture on "5G and Future Technologies" was successfully organized by Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at Malla Reddy Engineering College on ebruary 2023 between 10.30 AM to 1.00 PM. The seminar had the prime objective to acquaint participants with 5G technology and its future applications.Around 198 students of 3rd year B.Tech ECE attended and interacted with the guest. And a very good feedback had been given by the students.

Free Software and Open Hardware and its role in advancements of Current Technologies

A one day seminar on “Free Software and Open Hardware and its role in advancements of Current Technologies” was successfully organized by Department of Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at Malla Reddy Engineering College on 23rd September, 2022. The seminar had the prime objective to acquaint participants with contemporary free softwares and open hardware and its role in advancement of current technology which was successfully met by the informative lecture of the Experts. Some other specific objectives which were targeted in this FDP were: • To familiarize participants with free software and open hardware tools & techniques in research. • To provide an opportunity for the participants to interact and learn from experts. • To mentor participants on publishing their research in reputed journals
